Independent hotels with more than 20 rooms were the most popular type of hotel in Brazil as of July 2022, adding up to over 5.3 thousand establishments of this kind. That same month, there were approximately 3.7 thousand small independent hotels operating in the Latin American country. Those two types of hotels accounted for over 60 percent of the hotel rooms in Brazil that year.
