Share of adults in England and Wales who have recently taken Cannabis 2001-2024
In 2023/24, among people aged between 16 and 59 in England and Wales, 6.8 percent had taken cannabis in the previous 12 months, compared with 7.6 percent in the previous year. By comparison, in 2002/03 more than one in ten people in this aged group admitted to using cannabis at least once in the previous year, indicating that regular cannabis use has fallen.
