Bipolar disorder prevalence among women in Italy 2010-2019
Between 2010 and 2019, the incidence of bipolar disorder among Italian females maintained a more or less stable trend. In fact, it slightly oscillated between the peak of around 1,226 individuals affected by this mental illness out of 100 thousand people in 2010, and the low of 1,219 out of 100 thousand registered in 2015. As of 2019, around 1,221 out of 100 thousand females in Italy suffered from bipolar disorder.
