This statistic shows the results of a survey about the perceived share of women suffering from physical or sexual abuse by their partner or spouse in China as of February 2018, by gender.
According to data published by Ipsos, female respondents guessed that 24 percent of women in China have suffered from physical or sexual violence by their partner or spouse, which presents a seven percent difference from the actual figure.

*19,428 respondents in 27 countries around the world were surveyed via the Ipsos Online Panel System.
Data was weighted to match the profile of the population, therefore the survey generated nationally representative samples.
The source worded the question as follows: "Out of every 100 women in China, how many do you think say they have been a victim of physical and/or sexual violence by a current or former partner or spouse at some point in their life?".
