Quarterly household gas discharge lamps and LED e-waste collected in the UK 2014-2023
The volume of household gas discharge lamps and LED light sources collected in the United Kingdom as part of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive totaled 980 metric tons in the third quarter of 2023. The largest amount collected that year was in the second quarter, at 1,044 metric tons. In early 2020, collection rates dropped to just 454 metric tons due to waste collection disruptions caused by the outbreak of COVID-19.
