Growth capital and venture capital value in Belgium 2007-2018

This statistic shows the total value of growth capital and venture capital in Belgium from 2007 to 2018 (in million euros). Flanders, Wallonia and the Brussels Capital Region offer different kinds of investment aids, to assist Belgian or foreign businesses in the region. Many of these measures are aimed at starter businesses or self-employed. One example of this is the so-called Participation Fund (in Belgian Dutch: participatiefonds/in French: fonds de participation), a federal public institution offering different loans for both small and medium-sized companies and self-employed. As of 2018, growth capital and venture capital reached a total value of approximately 725 million euros.
