This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted in Italy in 2017 among 164 companies, mainly small- sized enterprises active in the manufacturing sector. During the survey, companies' representatives were asked to indicate in which areas they have adopted new technologies in order to prevent and/or detect fraud. As of the survey period, 49 percent of respondents stated they used technologies in order to identify anomalies in the business processes. Other 40 percent of the interviewed companies declared they used technologies to monitor e-mails, whereas other 27 percent of them invested in technologies aimed at testing the transactions.
