According to the source, the Current Trajectory scenario accounts for active climate policies and global decarbonization targets as of 2024. In this scenario, carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions would peak in the mid-2020s and decrease by 25 percent between 2022 and 2050. In the Net Zero scenario, CO2e emissions would fall by around 95 percent by 2050.
