This statistic shows the result of a survey on the share of women who have ever resorted to cosmetic surgery in Italy as of 2018, by age group. Overall, the percentage of women who have never had a cosmetic surgery was the highest for all the age groups considered, with a peak of 87.3 percent among women aged between 45 and 64 years old. Looking at the data more specifically, it comes out that cosmetic surgery was more popular among women aged between 18 and 24 years old, as 21.4 percent of them declared they resorted to plastic surgery once and 3.6 percent of them more than once.
