The unit is tons of new rubber defined by the source as the amount of natural and synthetic rubber (excluding regenerated rubber) contained in the survey product, not the amount of the whole product.

Companies surveyed were business establishments with 5 or more regular employees.
The source provides the following information on sales:
Products directly sold to distributors or other consumer enterprises.
Products shipped to the headquarters/sales offices or relay points for the purpose of selling.
Commissioned products shipped to consigners that are sales dealers (including consumers).
Products shipped to other factories of the same enterprise which are not producing the same survey commodity.
