In crop year 2020/21, coffee consumption increased in most of the leading Latin American exporters of this commodity, when compared to the previous year. Brazil is the largest coffee consumer in the region, with more than 22 million 60-kilograms bags consumed in the latest reported year. Mexico trailed in second, with a consumption of 2.4 million bags.
