The unemployment rate in Namibia decreased to 19.63 percent since the previous year. Nevertheless, the last two years recorded a significant higher unemployment rate than the preceding years. The unemployment rate of a country or region refers to the share of the total workforce that is currently without work, but actively searching for employment. It does not include economically inactive persons, such as children, retirees, or the long-term unemployed.
