Opinion on transgender people's place in Japan 2017

This statistic displays the public opinions on the influence of transgender people on Japanese society in 2017. When asked whether they believed Japan is becoming more tolerant towards transgender people, approximately 43 percent of the respondents taking part in the Ipsos survey said they agree with the statement. On the other hand, about nine percent of the respondents reported to agree with the statement that society has gone too far in allowing people to dress and live as one sex even though they were born another.
