Over two million inhabitants in Puerto Rico were aged between 15 and 64 as of 2023. Even though the island nation's population is expected to decline from 2023 onwards, demographic data shows Puerto Rico's population is aging, as the number of inhabitants in the age range above 65 years increased continuously over the last decade and reached 749,020 people in 2023.
