Main motives to use Wi-Fi hotspots in Japan 2017
This statistic presents the results of an online survey conducted in 2017 about the main reasons why smartphone owners in Japan access public Wi-Fi hotspots. The survey revealed that with over 62 percent the majority of respondents used public hotspots to safe data volume on their smartphones. About 40 percent of smartphone users accessed Wi-Fi hotspots, because it is a free service that is easy to use.
