Gender distribution of Grammy nominees in the U.S. 2013-2023
Between the years of 2013 and 2023, 13.9 percent of artists nominated for Grammy awards were female, and 86 percent were male. The share of nominated women in 2023 was far lower than in 2021 at 15.2 percent, which was still around average. The 2021 number, however, took the share of men nominated for a Grammy below 75 percent for the first time since the source began investigating gender distribution in the industry.
