The number of OTT and TV services used by U.S. and Canadian adults peaked in the fourth quarter of 2022 at on average 11.5 services, but declined towards 2024. Consumers used on average more paid services than freely available platforms. However, the use of paid services, such as TVOD and SVOD, decreased at a faster pace than non-paid platforms during the past year, with consumers reducing their entertainment spending.
