The number of OTT and TV services used by U.S. and Canadian adults peaked in the fourth quarter of 2022 at on average 11.5 services, but declined again by the end of 2023. Consumers used on average more paid services than freely available platforms. However, while the use of paid services, such as TVOD and SVOD, decreased during the past year, non-paid services increased in popularity, with consumers reducing their entertainment spending.
