Of respondents who go to pubs, 27 percent said they go to catch up with others and 14 percent for a regular drink. The main reasons for visiting gastro pubs differed, with fewer reporting that they visit for a catch up and regular drink, but more citing 'family occasion' and 'special celebration' as their main reason.
