In 2023, the United States imported some 6,400 metric tons of arsenic in total. That was a decrease of nearly 3,500 metric tons compared to 2022. Arsenic compounds accounted for the majority of U.S. arsenic imports in 2023, at 5,810 metric tons.
Metallic arsenic's primary use is in lead alloys.
