The production of refined copper in Mexico has been decreasing lately. In 2018, the volume of refined copper produced in the Latin American country amounted to almost 245 thousand metric tons, down from a peak of over 316 thousand metric tons recorded in 2016. Likewise, Mexico's production of copper smelter has been declining recently.
