Italy: journalists' educational background in 2016, by field of competence
This statistic shows the educational background of Italian journalists in 2016, by field of competence. Out of all the journalists reporting on politics and world news, 60 percent held a university degree in a related field, 34 percent of them had only the high school diploma. Accordingly, 65 percent of journalists writing about finance or economy did not have academic background in the specific topic and 29 percent of them had a high school diploma.
