The UEFA Nations League is a new competition for national teams and part of a changed play-off system for UEFA EURO 2020. It will be held every two years, making its debut in September and November 2018, and provides an additional method of qualification for the final tournament, in addition to traditional play-offs (the European Qualifiers will take place from March to November 2019). According to more than half of the respondents in the Netherlands, this new system will not have a positive effect on the European Championship qualifications, whereas roughly one-fifth said that it does make the qualifying for the EURO more exciting.
