This statistic illustrates the distribution of foreign book rights acquisitions by Italian publishing houses in 2017, broken down by genre. According to the study, 49 percent of book rights acquisitions from foreign publishers were related to children's and young adult book titles, while acquisitions in the fiction genre amounted to over 23 percent of the total. Nonfiction and picture book rights acquisitions amounted to 16.5 and 7.9 percent of the total, respectively.
