In 2022, Florida Power & Light Co was the leading electric utility in the United States based on residential electricity sales, with almost 70 terawatt-hours sold. Virginia Electric & Power Co followed, but by a wide margin, with residential sales adding up to some 29.6 terawatt-hours.
