Share of individuals that would never go cashless in selected European countries 2017
The statistic displays the finding of a 2017 survey that questioned the need of cash in today's society across thirteen countries in Europe. Respondents were asked whether they agree with the statement “I will never go completely cashless.” Respondents in Italy were the most against the idea of going completely cashless with 85 percent agreeing with the statement in question. The Netherlands was the most responsive country out of those included in the survey with 59 percent of individuals agreeing that they will never go completely cashless.
