Attitudes towards reducing plastic packaging in supermarkets in the UK 2017, by age
This statistic shows the results of a 2017 survey in which respondents in the United Kingdom (UK) were asked whether they support or oppose the introduction of a supermarket aisle that features only products free from plastic packaging, broken down by age group. The majority of respondents in all age groups support the introduction of supermarket aisles free from plastic packaging. Members of the population aged 65 years and above are most in favor of the campaign, with 94 percent of those surveyed supporting the idea, followed by 18 to 24 year olds at 93 percent.
