As of the first quarter of 2023, the largest share of the cars had studded tires, amounting to some 54 percent. The smallest share was using year-round tires, at 0.8 percent. Summer tires, which compired one percent of all tires in the country, are most popular in the South. It is not advised to use summer tires in wintery conditions as they provide little traction on snow and ice.
