This statistic illustrates the results of a survey concerning the opinion of Italians on being poor, in Italy as of September 2017. According to data, 74 percent of interviewees admitted, that in their opinion a person is poor when he/she is not able to afford even the expenses which are indispensable for living, meanwhile for 23 percent of respondents the poverty means being able to afford exclusively the things that are essential.
