Italy: indebtedness of households 2017, by type

This statistic illustrates the results of a survey investigating to whom households are in debt to and for which reason in Italy in 2017. As of the survey period, 25 percent of the respondents admitted to be in state of debt because of a mortgage taken from financial institutions. Only four percent of the households interviewed admitted to be in debt to parents and friends.
