In 2021, Pfizer S.r.l. was the leading Italian pharmaceutical company, with an annual revenue of approximately 1.8 billion euros. Chiesi and Sanofi came second and third in the ranking, both with revenue of 1.4 billion euros. According to the the data provided by Competitive Data, closing the ranking of the five largest Italian pharmaceutical firms was Janssen Cilag with a revenue of 1.1billion euros.
