Revenue of AkzoNobel 2008-2023

AkzoNobel is a Dutch multinational creating paints and performance coatings for consumers worldwide, headquartered in Amsterdam. The total revenue of the company amounted to roughly 10.7 million euros in 2023. Categorizing the revenue by business area, the company saw the revenue increase in both the Performance Coatings and Decorative Paintings segments. Approximately 5.6 billion euros were generated by the Performance Coatings in 2021, whereas by 2023 this went up to 6.4 billion euros. Decorative Paintings increased from roughly four billion euros in 2021 to 4.3 euros in 2023. 

Net income of AkzoNobel

Examining the net income, it fluctuated significantly between 2008 and 2023. In 2012, the net loss was roughly two billion euros, whereas from 2013 onwards AkzoNobel registered net incomes between 500 million euros and one billion euros. By 2018, this increased significantly (due to the high discontinued operations) and the company generated a net income of approximately 6.6 billion euros. In 2023 it stood at 442 million euros. 

Employment figures

The number of employees of AkzoNobel slightly increased between 2009 and 2010, but afterwards decreased annually. In 2010, the company employed 55,600 people and by 2021, this decreased to a total of 32,700 employees. .
