A survey held in 2019 revealed that 26 percent of U.S. respondents stated that they used a Roku to watch online video on television, up by five percent from the previous year. However, the most popular device remained the smart TV, followed by Amazon Fire TV and video game consoles.

This survey was fielded by a third-party company with access to consumer panels in France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, the UK and the United States. 500 responses were collected from each country for a total of 5,000 global responses.
