The production of common wheat has been fluctuating greatly over the analyzed period of time, peaking in 2020 with production figures reaching over seven million metric tones, and with its lowest point in 2017, with approximately 4 million metric tons.
The production of durum wheat, although much lower than common wheat, experienced an increase throughout the period under consideration until 2018,when it reached over 1.3 million metric tons, but decreased afterwards.
