A survey revealed that 20 percent of Americans stated that they strongly agreed that MSNBC regularly reports made up or fake news about Donald Trump and his administration. An additional 15 percent strongly disagreed with the statement, while around 16 percent stated that that they neither agreed or disagreed.
The fake news phenomenon has affected perceptions not just of MSNBC but also the likes of CNN and Fox News. As a result, some Americans are demonstrably more cautious and discerning about where they get their news, sometimes due to their political affiliation or as a result of having encountered false news in the past.
