In the Netherlands, the majority of business passenger cars are leased due to government tax cuts. Statistics on corporate car lease and use of business cars therefore overlap for the Netherlands. As of August 2019, the brand with the largest market share for passenger car leasing is Volkswagen, at 13.7 percent. The source states, however, that the brand with the highest increase compared to the previous year is Tesla. Elon Musk's car brand saw an increase of 114 percent between 2018 and 2019, reaching a market share of 3.5 percent.
