This statistic illustrates the impact of peer-to-peer websites such as Airbnb, Onefinestay, Couchsurfing and Uber (part of the so called 'sharing economy') on other travel companies, according to a survey conducted with travel industry stakeholders at the World Travel Network in London in 2017. Overall 38 percent of respondents said peer-to-peer bookings had had a negative impact to some extent, however 40 percent claimed they had had no impact at all. Only six percent said such websites have had a significantly positive impact on their company.
