Share of adults with diabetes in Brazil 2008-2023
The share of adults who claimed to have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus in Brazil amounted to approximately 10.2 percent in 2023, the highest value registered during the analyzed period. Two years prior, the share of adults who reported having this metabolic disorder in the South American country was around nine percent. Moreover, diabetes mellitus was more prevalent among adult women than men in Brazil.
