After a decline in 2019, the average sales value per checkout in online shopping during the two weeks preceding Lovers' Day in Brazil jumped again in 2020. That year, the average value amounted to 449 Brazilian reals (approximately 83.6 U.S. dollars at June 1st, 2020 exchange rates), up from 384 reals recorded a year earlier. That represents an annual increase of over 17 percent. Lovers' Day is celebrated in Brazil every June 12th.
