Market share of Volvo cars in the Netherlands 1998-2020

As of the end of 2020, Volo held a market share of approximately 4.12 percent, which is an increase compared to the previous four years. Volvo Cars, in short Volvo, is a Swedish automobile manufacturing company headquartered in Gothenburg and owned by the Chinese Geely Holding Group. The highest market share was reached in 2014, whereas the lowest in 2010. Regarding the sales volume of Volvo’s passenger cars in the Netherlands, it reached nearly 10,000 sold Volvos in 2019. The highest sales volume was seen in 2015 with 25,136 Volvo cars sold.

Sales volume V70 and V90

The Volvo V70 is an executive car which was manufactured from 1996 to 2016. It was a popular Volvo series in the Netherlands with a total sales volume of roughly 80,000 between 1997 and 2017, resulting in the third most sold Volvo model. The highest sales volume was registered in 2000 with 6,381 sold Volvo V70s. Looking at its successor, the V90 , Volvo sold in total approximately 4,000 of this series between 2016 and 2018.

Number of Volvo cars sold in Belgium

As of 2018, Volvo sold over 20,000 cars in Belgium. This is, besides an increase compared to the previous years, the highest sales volume of Volvo cars in the period between 2008 and 2018.
