According to a survey carried out in Spain in 2022, the main reason for not using contraceptives among women in Spain is not being sexually active. This was the case for nearly a fourth of respondents. Not being able to have children was the second most common reason, followed by wanting to have children, as stated by 18.1 and 15.6 percent of women interviewed, respectively. Based on the same survey, that year the most used contraceptive method in the European country was condoms.
