That year, the consumption volume of beer with an alcohol content of 3.7 to 4.7 percent was highest and amounted to roughly 233 million liters. Alcohol-free beer was consumed with a volume of approximately 9.6 million liters. The consumption volume of strong beer with an alcohol content of over 4.7 percent reached about 7.9 million liters.
