Hotels in Croatia had a net bedroom occupancy rate of 55 percent in 2022. In other words, over a half of hotel bedrooms were occupied during that period. The highest occupancy rate was recorded in 2019, at nearly 61 percent, before it decreased more than twofold in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The source provides the following definition for the net occupancy of bedrooms: "The net occupancy rate of bedrooms in reference period is obtained by dividing the total number of bedrooms used during the reference period (i.e. the sum of the bedrooms in use per day) by the total number of bedrooms available for the reference period (i.e. the sum of bedrooms available per day). The result is multiplied by 100 to express the occupancy rate as a percentage."
