In Spain, the area devoted to new constructions whose implementation requires a professional board certification rose significantly between 2020 and 2021, returning to almost pre-pandemic levels. The year in which the greatest area was devoted to new construction was 2019, with a total area of almost 26 million square meters. On the flip side, only approximately 10 million square meters were devoted to new construction in Spain in 2013.
