This statistic shows the annual number of high level athletes in Spain from 2007 to 2019. From 2007 to 2013, the number of this kind of athletes continued to increase, however in 2014 the number of high level athletes decreased by more than 700. In 2019, the number of athletes reached over five thousand athletes, which represented the highest number of high level athletes of the period of study.
