This statistic presents the quarterly evolution of the average expenditure per person in trips made during the holiday bridges by the residents in Spain in 2016. The fourth quarter of the year was in which the residents in the country more spent on average in their trips during the bridges holidays. The average annual expenditure amounted to 173 euros.

The data correspond to estimates of the Resident Tourism Survey of the National Statistical Institute of Spain. From February of 2015, this one gives continuity to the Statistics of tourist movements of the Spaniards (Familitur) of the Subdirección General of Knowledge and Tourist Studies of Spain.
The source considers journeys to places outside the usual environment, for any reason other than employment in a company established in the place visited, which involve at least one overnight stay and a duration of less than one year.
