The region of Andalusia, located on the Southern part of Spain, was the region of origin of a little over 46 thousand domestic pilgrims who arrived to Santiago de Composted via the St. James Way in 2023. Meanwhile, the Community of Madrid accounted for another 33.6 thousand domestic pilgrims in the popular Spanish pilgrimage.
