The statistics presents the distribution of tons of goods transported by road in Spain in 2015, according to vehicle type. In that year, more than 300,000 million tons of goods were transported by rigid vehicles.

Semi-trailer: trailer without front axle, coupled to the vehicle that drags it in such a way that part of the trailer, as well as part of its weight and of its load, rest on the tractor head.
Rigid vehicle or truck: vehicle for the transport of goods by road provided with own means of mechanical propulsion.
Towing: road vehicle suitable for the transport of goods, designed to be attached to a road vehicle.
* The data includes all tractors and rigid vehicles or trucks with payload capacity exceeding 3,5 tonnes and having a maximum authorized weight of more than six tonnes that have been used for the transport of goods and registered in Spain.
