This statistic reflects the data on the annual consumption of fresh bread in Spain from 2013 to 2021, broken down by type of bread and in million kilograms. In comparison to the previous years, the consumption of fresh wholemeal bread in Spanish households in 2019 increased almost 50 million kilos, following the negative trend from previous years on general bread consumption in Spain. In 2021 normal fresh bread was much less consumed, after a drop to 958 million kilograms from 1070 million kilograms.
