This statistic presents the annual evolution of the housing acquisition at prices exceeding 500,000 euros, by non-EU citizens between 2013 and 2015. In 2015, almost 38 percent of the homes purchased for at least half a million euros corresponded to non-EU citizens, which represents a decrease with respect to 2014.

* With the entry into force of Law 14/2013, of September 27, to support entrepreneurs and their internationalization, it was intended to attract foreign investment in Spain by non-EU citizens in exchange for the granting of a residence permit called " Golden Visa. "
According to this law, you can obtain a residence visa in Spain, among others, through the acquisition of real estate in Spain for a minimum price of € 500,000 for each applicant.
