After the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism, which was reflected in the expenditure of visitors in the Canary Islands, this destination experienced a full recovery in 2022. For instance, in the third and fourth quarter of that year, the total spending of tourists surpassed 4.5 billion euros, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
